Walking in Resurrection Power
Pastor Joy
Luke 24:32 – They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
The day after Easter, the world often goes back to its usual rhythm. The celebrations fade, the Easter meals are over, and life resumes its normal pace. But for the disciples who had encountered the risen Jesus, nothing would ever be the same again.
In Luke 24, two of Jesus’ followers walked along the road to Emmaus, burdened with confusion and sorrow over His crucifixion. They did not recognize that the very One they mourned was walking beside them. But when Jesus spoke and later broke bread with them, their eyes were opened, and their hearts burned with renewed faith.
Like these disciples, we may sometimes struggle to recognize Jesus in our daily lives. The joy of Easter Sunday can seem distant when faced with ordinary struggles and responsibilities. Yet, the power of the resurrection is not just for one day—it is for every day. Jesus is still walking with us, speaking to us through His Word, and revealing Himself in our lives.
Take a moment today to reflect on how Jesus is present with you, even in the mundane moments of life. Ask God to open your eyes to His presence and His work in your life. Let the fire of Easter continue to burn in your heart, fueling your faith, hope, and love.
Look for one way to share the hope of Easter with someone around you—through an act of kindness, encouragement, or sharing a Scripture verse. Let the resurrection power transform not just one day, but every day!
