The Greatest Evidence of God’s Love

It’s Christmas week! You might be looking forward to spending time with family or opening gifts or even just sitting on the couch watching hallmark Christmas movies, but this week is also a time to remember that God loves us. We celebrate the birth of our savior, which is evidence of this. Probably the most popular verse out there (John 3:16) attests to this:

John 3:16-“For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

So, as you’re going through this week spending time with family, joining us for our Christmas eve service on Wednesday and sleeping in as long as possible before kids come crashing through your door on Christmas morning; remember that God sent his son because of his love for this world (and more specifically those living in the world). And you are one of those people! You’re going to receive gifts this week but take some time to thank God for the greatest gift you have ever received which is salvation because of what his son did for us!
