Romans 6:13 - Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
Matthew 22:37 - Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.
Romans 12:1 -And so, dear brothers and sisters] I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable.
Is Christianity only an add on to the list of what you are? You might be a father, mother, son, daughter, boss, employee, grandparent, baker, etc. And then Christianity fits into the list somewhere on there. Or is Christianity the umbrella which is over all these other things? Do you make decisions through the lens of the Bible or do you just do that when it comes to church things? Is Christianity a hat you put on on Sundays and then take off for the rest of the week?
When it comes to God, he demands all of us. Our Christian walk should not be something we take off and put on easily. Every other facet of our lives (our job, our relationship, our location, the people we are around) should be affected by our Christian walk. Christianity is not to be like the mash potatoes that you don’t want touching the green beans on your plate. Christianity has mash potatoes in the green beans, the turkey, the stuffing…everywhere.
So, is your Christian walk walled off from the rest of your life, or is it the foundation that everything else is built on?
